Woodstackers Christchurch
Last updated: May 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By requesting a quote, booking a service, using our website, or allowing work to proceed, you agree to these Terms of Service in full.
Woodstackers Christchurch reserves the right to refuse, cancel, reschedule, or stop work at any time for safety, operational, behavioural, or business reasons.
2. Quotes & Pricing
All pricing provided through our website, online calculator, phone, email, social media, or text message is considered an estimate only unless confirmed in writing.
Final pricing may increase due to:
- inaccurate customer information
- larger-than-expected wood volume
- difficult access, stairs, elevation, or unstable terrain
- excessive carrying distance
- unsafe working conditions
- weather conditions
- unexpected labour requirements
We reserve the right to adjust pricing before or during the job if site conditions differ from those originally described.
3. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information, safe access, clear pathways, identifying hazards, and providing a suitable stacking location.
Failure to disclose relevant site conditions may result in additional charges, incomplete work, cancellation of service, or immediate termination of the booking.
4. Site Conditions & Safety
Woodstackers Christchurch reserves the sole right to determine whether a site is safe or suitable for work.
- unsafe terrain or unstable surfaces
- aggressive animals
- dangerous weather
- unsafe structures
- excessive manual handling risk
- abusive behaviour or unreasonable expectations
No refunds are required where work cannot proceed due to unsafe, inaccessible, or undisclosed conditions.
5. Liability Limitation
To the maximum extent permitted under New Zealand law, Woodstackers Christchurch is not liable for indirect loss, consequential loss, property damage, personal injury, wood pile collapse, weather damage, moisture issues, staining, ground movement, lawn damage, cracked surfaces, unstable walls or fences, or injuries caused after completion.
Customers acknowledge that firewood is heavy, wood stacks naturally settle over time, and weather or external conditions may affect stability.
All services are performed at the customer’s own risk. Our total liability, if any, is strictly limited to the amount paid for the service.
6. No Guarantees
Woodstackers Christchurch does not guarantee exact stack appearance, long-term stack stability, weather protection, moisture prevention, pest prevention, or satisfaction based on personal preference.
Minor shifting, settling, bark shedding, and unevenness may naturally occur after completion.
7. Payments
Payment is due immediately upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Failure to pay may result in late fees, debt collection, legal recovery action, and recovery costs charged to the customer.
8. Cancellations & Call-Out Fees
Cancellation or call-out fees may apply where bookings are cancelled with short notice, site access is unavailable, customers are not present, supplied information was inaccurate, work cannot proceed safely, or unreasonable delays occur.
Deposits, where applicable, may be non-refundable.
9. Photos & Marketing
Woodstackers Christchurch may photograph completed work for social media, marketing, advertising, website content, and portfolio purposes.
Unless requested otherwise in writing before the booking, customers grant permission for non-identifiable photos of completed work to be used.
10. Website & Calculator Disclaimer
Our website and online quote calculator provide general information and estimated pricing only.
We accept no liability for pricing inaccuracies, temporary website errors, calculator miscalculations, outdated information, or technical interruptions.
We reserve the right to update pricing, services, website content, and policies without notice.
11. Refusal of Service
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for reasons including unsafe conditions, abusive behaviour, unrealistic expectations, payment concerns, operational limitations, or repeated cancellations.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed exclusively by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.
